Yield can be planned: Four steps to a turnkey solar power plant

We look after our customers throughout all phases of the project. We take care of planning and preparation and manage the solar installation project right through to commissioning. One of the purposes of a solar power system is to generate a return over the long term, and thorough and precise planning are essential if the project is to be a commercial success. What may just be a minor drop in yield can still amount to a tidy sum over 20 years.

1. Inspection of the site
First, we visit the proposed site for the solar power installation to ascertain structural and other details. We clarify in advance all legal issues, such as ownership relationships, entry of easements in the land register, local regulations, and find out what approvals will be needed.

2. Evaluation of profitability
We will prepare a quotation for a system of appropriate size (in kWp) and work out a price for the project. This will be based on an in-depth evaluation of the system's profitability derived from our solar radiation and yield projections.

3. Drawing up the plans and scheduling the installation
Once the agreement is signed, we set about planning the technical aspects of the solar power plant, including selecting and planning the electrical wiring of the modules and inverters. At this stage, we submit an application to supply electricity to the local energy provider.

4. Erection and commissioning
Competent local partner companies carry out the erection and turnkey completion of the system under the site management of COLEXON. Site management includes supervision of site work, on-site security, accepting deliveries, and all construction site logistics. It also covers things like setting up on-site facilities, organizing the building team, the laying of the groundwork and the delivery and installation of the PV systems. Once the PV systems have been installed, they are inspected and started up. The power plant is connected to the grid and handed over to the customer complete and fully operational. If required, we will also handle monitoring and maintenance of the system when it is up and running.
